For sure, things that were not intended to be temporary or were replaced with a better version are sad to lose.
At least we still have penisland.net

This isn’t inherently bad.
Some web pages are extraneous, fedundant, or only relevant for a limited period of time. A sign up page for a concert doesn’t need to exist permanently. Consolidating a large website down to fewer pages that are accessible for everyone is a good thing.
Archiving services that retain web pages that deserve saving are how we should retain that history of the web, but the actual creators don’t necessarily need to indefinitely maintain a web page that becomes obsolete.
Yes, a lot is lost that could have just continued to exist and archiving is good, but getting rid of clutter is not a bad thing.

I’m guessing they are implants intended to seduce the people least likely to be believed if they complain about our reptilian overlords.

It is one of the emotes you can buy in the warbonds, don’t remember which one has the hug. The hug starts with the arms outstretched and only hugs if the other person does the interaction thing. So if you see someone that looks like a friendly T pose go up and click that interact button!
Sometines in game I like to start it while watching explosions with my arms spread wide like a lunatic.

Whike I generally play with friends, I do hop in the random queue sometimes for fun and this game has the best community for an online game that I have ever played. Haven’t come across a single griefer or rude player, it is either silence or people helping each other.
I (level 40ish) joined a random group all around level 15 last night and did all three of a level 5 mission set to get me some super credits and rares. Assuming the group was in their own voice chat because they were quiet but coordinated I let them know what I was doing snd we cleared them all out fairly easily. At the end I thanked them for the game and offered a hug, then the other two nunched up for hugs all around. A really wholesome end to our robogenocide.
It is the little things that encourage a great commmunity and HD2 put them in. Hopefully they make more progress on the game defects so it can stick around for a while without people drifting away.
- Comment on Did Obama Becoming President Make People Hide Their Racism? 4 days ago:
I found out a lot more people that I knew were racist while Obama was in office through offhand remarks about black people that didn’t come up prior.
They were far more open and direct about it during Trump though.

If they had snipped it down to just him saying those words instead of the whole exchange the joke would have landed even better.

can range from “How do I properly clean my foreskin?” to “what is ffmpeg and why is everybody using it?”, but not “Who’s the current president of Turkey?” nor “How do I calculate the circumference of a sphere?”
I am impressed that you have four closely related questions right off the top of your head!

- Comment on Why is currency so essential? 1 week ago:
Sometimes I would rather barter because the additional effort would make things more important instead of all the mass produced crap that is ruining the world. A robust wconomy tends to mean an excess of stuff we don’t need.
But it wouldn’t reeally work out that way, just wishful thinking.
- Comment on What is the General Consensus of Web3? 1 week ago:
I think the creators of web3 did understand how the web works, but wanted to change it and sold the change by gaslighting people about how web3 actually works.
- Comment on What is the General Consensus of Web3? 1 week ago:
The original idea was simply for people to control their own data on decentralised networks, I don’t think anyone had a problem with that definition.
That is how the web has worked since its inception. The fact that people choose to primarily go through a limited number of effective monopolies doesn’t mean the underlying structure is centralized.

Cops are trained to always assume the person they are interacting with is lying to them, so it makes sense they would think complaints about medical needs are just a ploy of some kind. That is why they ignore people saying they can’t breathe, much less someone who tells them that they need medication or other medical attention.
