  Identity politics? That’s a republican issue. They bring it up. The most democrats do is block, but all the punches are thrown by the right in campaigns. I didn’t even hear a gun control proposal this round.

  It’s got a few answers. For the first one, the logistics were handled by not administering the territory, those were only claims. For the next one, logistics were handled by breaking them up into other territories that would become states since administering it wasn’t feasible. In the third, it was possible, but it caused problems. The civil war was not the only grievance west virginia had. They had been neglected for the better part of a century. Richmond usually didn’t care much about those on the other side of the mountains. In some ways the civil war was just a good time to do what they’d probably wanted to for awhile. Really the logistics are the reason virginia is the size and shape it is today. Now they have a capitol where they can be not cared for by locals.

  The constitution has decreed a two term limit, now let us see it enforce it. Pieces of paper may tell us how power is to be used, but in the end paper is paper, and power is power. A lot of Americans call on the power of the constitution while ignoring what it says.

  Highlander was good when they didn’t elaborate on it. Everytime they tried building a deeper “lore” it went to trash. I don’t know if modern movies can resist that urge.

  I’ve only ever seen their work on Twitter or Facebook (at least from the source). Or maybe I should say heard of it being there, and it makes me sad. I kind of wish they had their own site.

  So I was disappointed with how underutilized did of the characters were in Naruto, and with some of the really bad thought processes they had. Controversially I actually did like Kaguya as the final villain though.

  Four years ago I asked my brother if he was doing better than he was four years before that. This was an asshole question. I knew he had been fired at the beginning of the trump administration and hadn’t had a job for all that time. It’s usually an asshole question because everyone’s situation is differen andits not always the presidentt, but I was at least expecting him to say no. He said yes though. Three years of living in our mother’s house. I knew he was getting training for work, but he had no income and at that moment his situation was quantifiably worse. He didn’t get hired until biden, and while biden’s policy may not be the reason, he’s had more employment than he ever did under trump. I know if I ask him if he’s doing better than he was under trump he will say no.
