Thank you for your explanation.
To me world news is just news from around the world, I want facts not opinions. An Australian perspective will happen in AZ comms just by manner of most members are from straya.
Anyway you just turn the phone upside down to get our perspective dontcha 😜

I’m an ocker but this post and comments is coming off pretty rough. Feels like you’ll want an echo chamber not a place of discussion.

Yeah it was happening on both wifi and cellular. I used Firefox and it worked. Chrome just didn’t want to work.

- Comment on Sydney student banned from year 12 formal for wearing Palestinian scarf 3 weeks ago:
Bringing attention to world events is not a problem but that is not the place for it. Schools want to be as partisan as possible and allowing kids to wear symbols of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds can make the look partial. Another reason is that these symbols have different meanings to different people. I love the eureka flag as a symbol of Victorians rising up against against injustice, unfortunately in the public eye this symbol has become synonymous with racism and hatred. This double/multiple definition means that school can’t look impartial if there are students displaying the symbol.

Same people that want to fight emergency services that try to help them. Hate to have my last phone call to a dying relative cut short because some fuckwit believes what they read on social media.

You’re not crazy. Less renter occupied and more owner occupied is a good thing for society as a whole. Purple fingers seems to be making g a mark

My wife just said we should move to Queensland. She was living in Singapore last year and misses the good PT. Brisbane for the win I guess
- Comment on Trams are expensive here 3 months ago:
100% agree. Getting something is better than nothing. Plus with the system the way it is, your just penalising the honest people.
- Comment on Trams are expensive here 3 months ago:
If the victorian railways were held accountable and there was less corruption in victracks property division, the dodgy land sales to property developers would stop and there would be more funding for our public transport.
I think we should demo a free system here but with the mayors wanting to rip up bike lanes and the state investing so heavily in roads there’s probably no money left for pt.

In 2005, the state committed almost $1 billion to develop myki by 2007 to replace the ageing Metcard system, and operate myki for 10 years
Just over half of myki’s almost $1 billion initial budget—around $520 million—was for establishing the system by 2007 and operating it for 10 years.
It was expected that myki would deliver around $6.3–$10.8 million per year in economic benefits to the state…

Ridiculous isn’t it. They showed all the footage of car in grid lock with trains and trams overflowing, then the board of works decided they would just set out some land for highways to fix everything. Around the same time they were decommissioning the inner circle rail line.
