I guess it depends on whether the app embeds the default browser or is hardcoded to use webview. I don’t know many apps that will trigger a load of random sites that do the latter, though.

Not if you have your default browser set to Firefox

There’s a special edition for $730+tax so maybe they mean that.
But starts at $380, less for return.

Additional TL;DW(but should): they also connect to EVERYTHING and how it was done is actually really impressive.

There’s a couple, but this one in particular:
Title
youtu.be/JSuhE1ndwjc My wife and I were playing together one night, and both of us went “HOLY SHIT!!” when we turned around and this dude straight murdered us. Tge thing is, up until that point Myst had been a totally safe place. You walked around knowing that although you might have made a mistake, it could be undone. You just needed to find the right solution. It was warm and comfortable. Even when he ran up the path, we just figured it was the next part of the plot. It was super unsettling to be MURDERED and find out you COULD actually LOSE. With the dude running straight at you like in a nightmare. It really, really doesn’t help that it is Brad Dourif murdering you.

It actually is the game that gave me the biggest jump scare of any game I’ve ever played, too. Which is really really weird.

Myst 3 and 4 are my favorites in the series, personally. Especially 3.
- Comment on Borderlands 4 boss tells players "please get a refund from Steam if you aren't happy" as Randy Pitchford continues his very public crashout over the FPS's performance woes 4 weeks ago:
Is that what the situation is? I think that’s also only the case on 4k with brutal mode enabled or whatever.
Obviously that’s still not great if so, but I’d still put it in the eyeroll category personally. I don’t really feel butthurt if I have to run at 1080p or enable vlss or not get 120fps or whatever, especially on day 1 for a game.
But I come from an era where there were games you had to shrink some 3d games lower than 320x200 to get a playable 10fps, so I’m also probably feeling some “back in my day we walked uphill both ways - kids today” energy here. What do I know.

Is it really that bad?
I’m not much of a fan of the series, but the complaints I’m seeing are in the “I only get 30fps instead of 60fps on ultra!” kinds of things that make me roll my eyes super hard

Glacially is OVERstating how much and how quickly.
Especially compared to their original predictions.

Horribly mismanaged? Incompetent project management? Horrifyingly bad predictions, even lying? Big mess of a project? Sure.
Scam? No. They really are trying to do the thing they said they are.
And as you say, even though they’re never, ever going to deliver what they promised because they can’t, they have delivered a thing that a lot of people like
But god DAMN. They said most of the PU features would be done in 2016/17. 9 years later 80% of what they promised still isn’t there. Multi crew has been walked back. Etc etc.

It plays well enough on a Steam Deck and even better 7-year old machine with a 1060 in it. But not sure how low-spec your laptop is.

I mean if it was 150 hours (or close to) before it got repetitive, that’s better than 98% of games.
