Ahh my mistake. I misread that as the employees who have not been there for that long would be exempt from this protection.

Generally, the WARN Act covers employers with 100 or more employees, not counting those who have worked fewer than six months in the last twelve-month work period.
She mentioned in the call that she started working in like August.

Bruh, I don’t think you understand that heating a room is cheaper than heating your whole house.
My electric bill is ~$160 when running the central heater. It’s ~$80 when I run my space heater.
As always, I encourage people to see for themselves rather than trusting strangers on the internet.
Experience is better than theory, every time.

No, I’m talking from experience.
It’s the difference between an additional $5 and $70 in my electric bill every month.

Well, my electric bill went up a negligible amount and I keep the space heater running pretty much all the time.
Maybe you bought a shitty one or you’re getting a shitty deal for your electricity.

Get a space heater.
Mine was $15 at Walmart, heats my room like it’s Spring, and only adds $5 per month to my electricity bill.

Space heaters are the way to go.
It’s the difference between paying $50 and $5 more per month.

Get her a space heater, you won’t even notice the difference in your bill.

Yes, this is the big picture view of things.
Unfortunately, a lot of small-minds can’t (or don’t want to) comprehend it.

Sorry you got swindled into buying games on a bunch of different launchers.
- Comment on Steam keeps on winning 10 months ago:
Competition for the sake of competition isn’t intrinsically a good thing.
Seems to me, most of the people complaining about Steam are greedy devs who want to make more money off of their products.
For me, as a user, that’s not my concern. For me, as a user, it’s more important that I can play games without having to download different launchers just to make someone else richer.
- Comment on Steam keeps on winning 10 months ago:
I’ve been weaning myself off of Steam for years now.
I only use it at this point for games I’ve already bought and games that are exclusive to Steam, like TF2.
Anything else I just download for free elsewhere.

It’s definitely not their fault, per se.
They’re just doing their job. It’s how the system is set up.
The best teachers I’ve had were ones that routinely went outside of the curriculum to engage with students on a human level.

It used to be sort of hard to find academic knowledge outside of an institution. Now you can download it all for free on libgen and have youtubers walk you through it.

You’re conflating “their information” with “academic information.”

A major difference is they can get information whenever they want.

That kind of accessibility causes people to take it for granted.

What’s sad is, that’s the point. That’s how they get prepared for the future.
A future where they work for their rulers and don’t cause controversy.
