- Comment on A billionaire wrote this letter to Google a year ago. How likely is that Google's layoffs and actions since then are at least partly because of this? 11 months ago:
Raise taxes for every employee cut. Every job cut in a tax year increases the corporate tax on profit for that year.

It doesn’t even need to be plastic. The battery could slot into the side of the phone on a tray with a gasket to try and seal it.
Personally I don’t think the battery needs to be as easily replaced if it lasts longer. Lithium ion cells degrade too quickly but a lithium iron phosphate cold last for 10 years before dropping below 85% charge capacity.
The only drawback is they have about 30% less energy density but imo making the battery 30% larger is not a big deal. Phones have obsessed with being pointlessly thin for so long. Basically just remove the dumb camera bump.

The desert is the only reason it is habitable, if it were less arid the humidity would make it even worse. The largest desert on earth is Antarctica, deserts don’t have to be hot, just low precipitation.
But what deserts do very well is solar potential due to lack of cloud cover and I don’t know why we can’t use solar to power electric rail for public transportation.

Even if the city is flat as fuck you’ll still arrive sweaty if the climate is hot. Take Phoenix for example, you will sweat even if you are in the shade and doing no physical exercise because it’s commonly 46 degrees.
- Comment on Are MRNA vaccines any riskier than other vaccines? 11 months ago:
They’ve been given to billions of people at this point and with a sample size that large it’s surprising how safe they are.
- Comment on Price of electricity in Finland peaks at 2.35€/kWh today. Keeping my tiny granny cottage warm costs me over 50 euros for a single day. It's negative 25C (77F) outside. 11 months ago:
You could heat it from a fire outside with a boiler and a radiator. I’m not sure if they have those for sale in Finland but they’re a thing in the US.

Does it really matter? You shouldn’t have to follow a tracker or be up to date on if a subscription service will have what you want. I don’t understand why the content can’t exist on multiple platforms at once.

Yeah that’s pretty awful
- Comment on How have you personally found the Lemmy community compared to its competition and other social media? 11 months ago:
I don’t think Lemmy has more propaganda than other social media, it’s just not the usual propaganda.
- Comment on What's up with Epic Games? 11 months ago:
Epic doesn’t have to be as good as Steam; it has to be better than Steam. People don’t up and leave platforms they like for new platforms for no reason. Epic can take a smaller cut on games but if that doesn’t carry to the end user why should I care.

The larger shirts never give as much length as width so I always look for the tall ones.

Really most fruits and veggies are fine for snacking. Celery is super easy but I will also mix mustard and balsamic vinegar into a dressing for spinach, tomatoe, bell pepper salad
