- Comment on Do old people still remember their childhood? Do people just start losing their memories and their sense of self as they get older? 1 hour ago:
as long as you keep it safe i still think it’s better than not having one though. it’s much easier to manipulate memory when there’s nothing to compare/verify against. tho, the journal being leaked or modified is a big issue, maybe a git repo inside some encrypted drive would do…

it seems like they mostly remember the ‘vibe’ along with some hazy memories. kinda unrelated to OP but my grandparents started showing me AI generated pics/vids claming it’s “just like his childhood”…

- Comment on If you had too, how would go about running a Instagram account? 4 weeks ago:
maybe use a public wifi if you have one available nearby? or a residential proxy, tho it’a bit unethical and has the possibility of being banned.
- Comment on How is your personal experience with "uBlacklist" and which lists do you personally use? 4 weeks ago:

- Comment on How is your personal experience with "uBlacklist" and which lists do you personally use? 4 weeks ago:
I use the two with uBlock Origin instead (so I can choose to go there still), and there were some sites that does have proper information blocked there.

…except its not really communist, like north korea’s no way a proper communist country (not that there’s any that even existed); just some shitty dictatorship

- Comment on When "AI" content becomes indistinguishable from human-made content, is there, philosophically speaking, any meaningful differences between the two? 2 months ago:
is it? i mean it’s possible for ‘ai’ to create a unique combination of stuff it was ‘trained on’ due to its randomness. imo the ‘idea’ just depends on human interpretation

People clearly hate these. Why bother? If you’re so “smart” just go somewhere else that suits you. And fuck AI slop.
- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 3 months ago:

- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 3 months ago:
Sad :/ I never had an AMD machine so haven’t tried, but I heard it’s pretty well working nowadays… At least I see a lot of successes on r/hackintosh
- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 3 months ago:
No, but you can run x86 MacOS on a VM. There’s no graphics acceleration unless you passthrough a supported GPU tho.

I would try getting a tablet. I don’t like Apple devices because of their “jailed” software policy but iPads have awesome display panels, maybe getting an older model for cheap could be good. Have an iPad 3 (2012) and the panel is still miles better than my cheap Lenovo P11 (2021).

- Comment on What are the privacy risks of exposing IP adresses? 6 months ago:
probably because of CGNAT or torrent trackers reporting fake stuff. Usually when the first seen and last seen equals it’s the latter, otherwise it’s the former. It’s pretty accurate for me…
- Comment on What are the privacy risks of exposing IP adresses? 6 months ago:
it could enable targeted attacks. just use a vpn if you can afford one.
