- Comment on The hardest workers get the smallest pay. 1 year ago:
The majority of my bosses worked a lot more than me, to the point where I don’t even know how they stayed awake. At my current job, the workplace is falling apart because the upper management refuses to work long hours like that while us lower staff deal with the aftermath. I love bashing on rich people, but a lot of them (semi-rich) worked hard to get where they are and in a way deserve it. You sound like a good boss- I wish more places understood that taking on more responsibility means more dedication and more hours instead of getting to boss people around.

The wealthiest people that I know (definitely not billionaire range) work a lot more hours compared to me, but most of them consist of consulting, meetings, traveling, and virtual meetings while traveling- it seems like they’re constantly on the phone. They’re happy to interact with lower stature people to get a feel of how people generally feel about the times and politics. They’re also generous, but not too generous- they get anxious around really poor people. They fly A LOT too- if you’re flying a domestic flight between cities you’re probably sharing a cabin with a super rich person. Definitely not a billionaire with a private jet though.

I respect him, but at the same time it’s perfect comedic timing on so many levels- there’s something ridiculous happening every second of the video. It’s also a warning for how low you can go when you drink regularly.

His child died after the fame from the early 2000s and he took to the bottle to cope. It’s a really sad story. Steve Harrell

I know the cut from the video doesn’t show the full thing but it shows how far he fell as a musician due to alcoholism. Call 1-800-662-HELP (4357) if you’re struggling with drinking.

- Comment on Workers are not valuable 1 year ago:
In my experience, jobs that have employees working multiple departments are a red flag. Employees should usually stick to one task and learn how to be great at it before moving up.

Honestly I agree with you here. It’s a great and extremely shocking piece of art that forces you into the dark world of a combat veteran while making fun of how we glamorize war. However, the comedic tone with a dark subject matter doesn’t make it a good PSA. The redeeming quality is that it at least went viral and brought a lot more attention to the charity and veterans issues so it’s definitely a mixed bag. Side note, thank you for chiming in! It’s interesting to hear from someone who worked in the field professionally.

I get the worst nausea whenever I drink something from a k cup machine. Nobody ever cleans their machine and the ingredients are questionable.

I own chickens and have had a bullying problem in the past. In the winter they have a lot less space and they get bored and stressed easily. The hen that took the “rooster”/protector role started pecking the smallest and sweetest chicken and drew blood. I had to keep the small chicken isolated from the flock for a few weeks while its wounds healed and put special goggles on the bully chicken for a month- they prevent it from seeing in front of itself so it forgets what’s there after a few seconds. Yeah they can be vicious, but it’s definitely preventable if they’re raised right instead of at a factory farm.

They’re intelligent and very instinctive birds from birth- that doesn’t mean that they’re vicious though. My chickens that I’m raising are all sweethearts. It’s all a matter of their environment. If you overcrowd them in an indoor factory farm of course they’re going to turn on each other, they’re extremely stressed out. Chickens that are raised outdoors with lots of space and different kinds of food are a lot less likely to act up and turn on each other. You can even taste a noticeable difference in eggs from happy chickens.
Roosters on the other hand are usually fucking assholes.
