Isn’t this why we should embrace EVs and other cars that can use renewable energy so we don’t have to worry about the middle east and other petrostates?

- Comment on How does delisting a game make/save money? 2 months ago:
Corporations don’t always have to make sense it looks like during a meeting they concluded that games don’t generate significant profit so they decided to exit that entire market. They don’t want to have any employees to look over the account, or having to update is something or have any lawsuits (perhaps have offended someone, or formatted computer), I am not saying those could happen or make any sense, but essentially execs say they don’t want to have ANY liability and the lower employees comply the best they can.
Execs don’t care about users, to them this is just business.
If users were priority company for example could just make the games public domain, but that would be too much work, and no way back if (in very unlikely case) they wanted to bring the games back.

I don’t think he was born cool, it was more about what he stood for and what he did during his life.
- Comment on Is it okay to wash hands with body soap? 3 months ago:
Since hand soap is for hands and body soap is for the entire body the only logical conclusion is to not wash hands as we don’t know what would happen if you would use body wash for that part of the body.

Things that you normally don’t think about. For example if you tried to get a job and the owner refused to hire you, because you don’t believe in his religion, you can sue that they are discriminating. If you are atheist, that won’t work, because you don’t have a religion.
If a certain group claims to be offended by something, because it affects their religion, atheists have no say, because they have no religion.
There’s no tax exemptions, money that might be directed to religious institutions won’t go to atheist organizations, because again that’s not a religion and so on.
As for the other commenter’s, about putting Capitol displays and after school programs is meant to emphasize separation of church and state and religion in schools. The “abortion rituals” are for fighting recent SCOTUS ruling, that it apparently infringes their religious freedoms and prevents practicing their religion (kind of contra to Christians imposing their beliefs on others). Though, with current SCOTUS and states that are banning abortion, I don’t know if it does much.

The Church of Satan believes in the supernatural and would be the traditional satanists.
The Satan’s Temple are essentially atheists that formed a religion to enjoy the same religious protections as people in other religions.
- Comment on Aliens decide to communicate with us 4 months ago:
That’s because they don’t believe Satan or dark magic exists.
- Comment on Aliens decide to communicate with us 4 months ago:
I met a member. And he explained to me that they are pretty much atheists but from the point of the law they enjoy religious protections.
Basically if you call yourself atheist, you won’t get any religious protections, because you don’t have any religion. Everyone knows that FSM is a joke, so that also wouldn’t fly either. So they created a religion. They chose Satan, to get expected reaction from devoted Christians, they don’t believe in Satan though (unlike wackos from the Church of Satan). You can read their 7 tenets, which sound quite reasonable: thesatanictemple.com/…/there-are-seven-fundamenta…

Yeah. Little known fact, they named their company after their original product, but struggled with how to turn in profit, so they created a Google subsidiary which invented a search engine. True story.

Yes, absolutely.
Maybe it would help some to realize that religion was invented by powerful to manipulate the masses.
If those rules would truly come from God, they would definitively match all the laws and rules of the World created by the God.
The bloodiest wars we had and still have were because of religions. Ironically in many cases those people supposedly worshipped the same God.

- Comment on Ramadan 5 months ago:
Such weak minds, to many there’s no compromises if somebody happens to have a different religion, but if it affects themselves the rules are very malleable.
Not talking specificly about Muslims, I see this with other religious fundamentalist as well.

Bad road design for sure, but the sign still could be better. For example they could make a custom sign, draw the intersection and mark explicitly that you can’t turn to Oakwood.

uBlock should work, if it doesn’t make sure you are using latest version, you have custom filters disabled and disable all extension. If that fixes it then you can start enabling other extension tracking which one caused issue.
With adblock detection filtering too much can cause to trigger the detection.
