  That looks amazing. I cannot wait for either an official remaster or some Enterprising fan to do it and release it unofficially.

  I tried upscaling from my DVDs to a measly 1080p and the results were only “meh” even after my PC nearly melted down xD

    Oh it’s done. There was a fan push to remaster it and it’s been finished from what I’m aware of. I can probably find some more info if you’d like. Actually @negativenull@lemmy.world might have more info than I do on that front.

    They’re working on Voyager now too. They’ve released some stills from Timeless and it looks amazing.

      Oh, sweet! Official or unofficial? (Doesn’t matter to me, just need to know where to look lol)

      After failing to upscale my own DVDs, I acquired an older, unofficial Voyager remaster which looks pretty darn good. Unfortunately, whatever upscaling model they used had a bad case of pareidolia for some elements (e.g. it rendered the Klingon battle cruiser in Prophecy like a smiley emoji wearing a sombrero).
