Mods, if this isn’t proper Trek discussion, let me know please.
I think I remember seeing that this community was created from former moderators on the Reddit Trek page. Anyone have any insight as to what’s going on over there? Just asking out of curiosity.
Here’s the post that got me digging in to it:
I used to be a mod at /r/startrek and this is almost certainly a case of only hearing a heavily distorted side of the story. There is absolutely no way they would have banned anyone simply for liking a theme song lol thats the kinda shit that sub was made for.
There used to be a subreddit called star_trek that was largely full of these kind of posts and 10/10 times the person complaining was heavily stretching the facts or ignoring other context. Now it seems they go to shittydaystrom to do the same thing. Because the startrek mods had a policy of not discussing individual bans publicly you only ever saw one side of things.
Also PS this post will prob be removed the mods here are still friends with the reddit mods and likely wont want to encourage pile ons.
