    My wife is pretty quick to remind me to change it. I buy like two years at once so the next time I just pull it the extra one out of the closet.

    Hell, just get one off the ground. I see more discarded masks in the street than used condoms. I used to find things like that in the past like used diapers, condoms, sanitary pads, etc. People used to be nasty around here.

      Depends what you want out of your furnace filter. Washable furnace filters will never be a very high MERV level, so a lot of stuff will make it through your filter.

      That being said, be careful about using too high a Merv level filter, because you put more strain on your furnace. You're trying to find a balance between getting the bad stuff out of your air and not overloading your furnace.
