I know in north america, the corrector on a fast charger physically won’t plug into a car that can’t fast charge since it has extra pins. maybe it’s something like that?
I’m really not familiar with the technology but can the cars and chargers not negotiate power delivery? This is a solved problem in the USB-C world and I can’t imagine that these chargers aren’t smart enough to do this.

Isn’t this wrong?
The article states that cars are unable to use chargers that are rated over 50kW. Surely cars can use the chargers, but not at rates over 50kW.
