    I’m down for an entire new crew. I’m super curious what they mean by “further in the timeline”, though. WHICH timeline?

      We kinda see post Voyager in the TNG films, since we see Admiral Janeway. We also get a 20 year jump in the Picard series. So you could be set in that gap, or after Picard.

      I think Discovery/Academy era is the most interesting. You get to tell a “start of the Federation” type story, which we haven’t seen yet. We’ve seen similar with Enterprise giving us the forming of the Federation, so this would be what’s next. Plus you can pull in all the legacy aliens whenever you want.

    Happy to see another stab at it. I liked the Kelvin timeline films… but I still long for the days of TNG, DS9, Voyager. After that, everything did not feel like “real” Star Trek. I guess that could be just because they were more in my formative years but I don’t think many people who would say any of the subsequent shows were better than any of those three…

      I don’t think anything will ever top DS9 for me, but I’d put several of the newer shows above Voyager.
