Either she is or she’s trying to distract everyone from who the real front-runner is.
I think AOC is too hated to win, but IDK. Trump is pretty hated too, and Democrats badly need someone with name recognition as a nominee.

She’d likely lose a primary to Ossoff. Even if she won the primary, she has Hillary levels of hate from the GoP, but doesn’t have the wide range of appeal among the Dems. We can’t assume the GoP will be in disarray after Trump. They have all the billionaires already gaming out the next election, with every bit of AI help they can get. Their turn out is going to be substantial no matter who the nominee is. Meaning whoever the Dems nominate, they have to be able to bring out the whole tent.
The real problem is also that if she goes after the WH in '28 she’s unlikely to win, but would lose her house seat in the process. Making it an overall loss for everyone. She could take the NY Senate seat easily, then have a solid position to take the WH later on.
End of the day, if she’s on the ticket, I’d have no problem voting for her. But I’m also a tiny niche of a demographic. So it wouldn’t mean shit unless she can bring out the moderates as well as the left, and a solid chunk of independents.

I’m super curious to see what the GOP does in this next election. Trump isn’t particularly likeable but MAGA is a cult. If someone else with a Trump-style of brash, incendiary speech and irreverence for political sacred cows (think someone like Nick Fuentes or James Fishback, though perhaps not those discrete individuals) pops up, I can’t imagine he or should would be successful without Trump’s endorsement. If Trump dies before the next election–as well he might, he is old after all–the whole party will be in disarray. The base is unlikely to follow an endorsement from, say, Donald Trump Jr. or Lara Trump in the same way that they would from Donald Trump himself, and I think that the GOP’s deep field will probably eat each other alive politically.
I’m not a Democrat so I’m not as knowledgeable about what they’re up to, but I’d imagine that it’ll be a battle between progressive activists and politics vs. average liberal voters and the Democrat establishment over whether or not we see a more extreme anti-Capitalist type as the nominee, or a moderate candidate at the helm.

Intriguing take. I know many on the right don’t like him but he’s been out of the spotlight so long that he could definitely reinvent himself to the masses to fit with the times.
His big weakness would be that he’s not photogenic, I think.

She should run for Senate. And hopefully have good replacement in Congress. We can’t have her running for something she 100% would not win. The DNC will give her the Sanders treatment and she won’t win her primary. We need her as majority leader in Congress our her in the Senate not performative runs that waste time and money.

If what she is doing is distracting her political opposition from who will truly lead the part through 2028, that’s an even smarter move.

DNC already knows who they want in the general election. They run primary to look "democratic " but in truth the Republicans run fairy primary then Democrats. And that part fucked up. Because Republicans play dirty and cheat in general elections.
