Why do British people seem to give up, refuse to stand up, and let themselves drown the moment they fall into waist-deep, dirty water (in man-made waterways that are still water, no less, so no current to sweep them off their feet, either)?

Thus person is insane, they keep talking about these canals. Have your heard about Percival Lowell? He believes that there are signs of life on Mars, as he observed what he thought were canals. I feel like you would be the kind of person to still believe that Mars had artificial canals in the modern day.
Lowell was not completely crazy like you though, for one he lived during the late 1800s and discovered the “canals” in the first decade of the 1900s. He was working with limited information and pieced together the idea of Martian canals due to the ongoing industrialisation of the world, much of which involved building canals. He also helped hypothesise the existence of Pluto and founded one of the oldest observatories in the U.S., the Lowell observatory, and it was this observatory that discovered little Pluto!
I don’t think Lowell, being a pretty respected mathmetician and astronomer, would agree with you when it comes to this canal conspiracy. I highly doubt that he would mock the deaths of others like this or disrespect their families like this, he at least had the morals of the 1800s. I don’t think you do though, and I wonder what other basic human dignities you disrespect.
Please stop posting about these nonsense canal conspiracies, or the ghost of Percival Lowell will haunt you to the end of the Earth for ruining the reputation of his treasured canals.

Let’s assume that there actually is something fishy going on here.
Do you think that a bunch of mostly Linux nerds on the internet, mostly not in the UK, have some sort of investigative power to get to the bottom of this and hold someone responsible?
You’ve been at this for a few months now, clearly whatever goal you have isn’t working and you need to change your tactics.
Maybe start saving money to hire private investigators to look into this.
Or at least start contacting UK authorities about your concerns.
Maybe take some classes on lifesaving to better understand what happens to drowning victims to make a more informed opinion about how likely or unlikely it is that these were simple accidents and explain your reasoning.
What about this in particular is so fascinating to you?
