Canals are not deep in the slightest. Waist deep at most, how could two men drown in waist deep water? I see very few people showing scepticism to these kinds of stories. People seem to believe canals are very deep, and given how a lot of news stories have been found to be made-up, that seems to include whoever wrote the story.
If you think of the average person you know, would they drown if you pushed them into 3 feet of water?
I mean what’s the arguement here, that an anti-canal group is trying to hire crisis actors to pretend they have a dead loved one? That the mob is doing hits and throwing them in the canal and making it look like an accident?
People can drown in like 1 inch of water. Falling can be startling, even more so if you’ve got a brief drop, are suddenly wet, and you broke something.
My friend pulled a guy out of a canal after he’d absentmindedly walked off the edge. The guy was severely bloodied up and broke multiple ribs, and had my friend not pulled him out, the guy very likely would have drowned.

Why do you keep posting about this? You don’t like people telling you that yes, it is possible to drown in 3 feet (or even less) of water? Are you pushing people into canals then saying “it was just a prank bro” when they drown?
