Gatorade actually does have electrolytes that helps one rehydrate, but that's pretty much where the health benefits end. Last I heard, it's pretty sugary. You can probably get electrolyte water if that's what one is after as an athlete.

Let’s drink soda after running (it has a little bit of salt in it!!! And I’m so athletic I need special soda afterwards).

Ya or just drink f-n water if you’re not training for the olympics 😁 (and if you do, I bet you don’t chug “spirt drinks”).
I bet those sport drinks are just worse for you compared to plain old tap water in all situations.
