If you think the censorship is inevitable and move to an alt platform, especially when you've started self-hosting your content, you should lean into using alt platforms rather than complaining about big tech, especially if you want big tech to be the future.
People on alt-platforms shouldn't complain about censorship from big tech

The trouble is, most people aren't on alt-platforms. They'd be terrified of 4chan, they wouldn't begin to understand the fediverse, and they don't even know how the hell e-mail works!
We've come full circle to the days of AOL Keywords. The difference is, people used AOL and Netscape as toys. Facebook/Insta/Twatter are connected to peoples' lives .. which is ... sad, yes, but a reality for way too many people.
They don't know how to look for censorship and do not understand what is really happening. So should we be encouraging people to use alternative platforms, and what will their reaction be when they login to a fedi instance and see a ton of gas-the-jews posts from poa.st?

Well I wouldn't funnel most normies to poast lol. I think there are normie instances we can recommend, and many instances that block poast.
