Context: the red pavement line means “no parking”.
Am I missing something here or what’s the problem? There are parking spots and there is an area where you can’t park that’s clearly marked.

Am I missing something here or what’s the problem? There are parking spots and there is an area where you can’t park that’s clearly marked.
The small section after two spots is there to prevent people to park too close to each other. This prevents people from being boxed in.

Yes, there it obviously means “no parking”. You were complaing about the little bits between the parking spots. Right?
I don’t see the problem. Don’t park outside the marked area. Red line is reminding you, because lots of people think the marked rectangle is a suggestion.
