It comes on top of more than 800 positions being slashed in the past 18 months.

The job losses will come from across the country, with no details about what positions are at risk.
This is so sad. The CSIRO is one of the most important institutions in the country. I know of a couple of defence contracts we could get rid of to fund it.

Meanwhile, we spend billions on bloody consultants doing the work government employees used to do, for less money, might I add.
