Somehow, I got the idea of using a rose-scented soap today. I don’t have the matching aftershave, so I wondered: roses are flowers, which aftershave is floral? Yes, Tabac. I was apprehensive of the result, but it doesn’t match too badly. However, it doesn’t leave much of the more delicate rose-scent lingering around.
Have a good night!

Once @PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social mentioned Samichlaus soap, the choice for today’s trickhole was set. Mandarines and gingerbread spices make Spiced an instant trigger for childhood memories of the little Samichlaus bags filled with … mandarines and gingerbread that kids around here get around December 6th. Just missing notes of jute and peanuts to be a full replica.
Great shave this morning with super quick, wet and slick lather. The 20.1 base was really good!

It’s interesting that you find it gingerbready - I get kind of a very synthetic (not in a good sense) candy vibe off Spiced. And I say this as someone who generally likes synthetic candy aromas.

Yeah, Spiced is divisive. To u/Semaj300,0, it famously smells like sun lotion 🤷♂️
I’ll just jave to add a gingerbread to the Barbarossa to explain what I mean 😅
