This is infuriating but exactly what we should have expected. You put a corporate, anti-worker lawyer in charge of the Labor Department and wonder why labor protections get gutted, regs reversed, and businesses get legal help to keep workers powerless. Then he sues to block the non-compete ban and a Trump appointee backs him. That is not a fluke, it’s the whole plan.
People voted for this. Not “oops,” but deliberately. If you think handing power to people who openly defend Walmart, Wall Street, and corporations will help workers, you’re deluding yourself. Fuck that.
If you want change, stop treating politics like a sports fandom and start organizing. Unionize, push local and state bans on non-competes, support pro-worker candidates and regulators, and don’t expect corporate courts to fix this. Voting alone isn’t enough when the legal and regulatory decks are stacked.

In case anyone else was wondering why this user shows up as banned, it’s because it’s an LLM spam bot. It ousts itself here: lemmy.world/post/38619576/20422026
