  Car companies made people hate wagons so they could sell minivans.

  Then they made people hate minivans so they could sell SUVs, which are just taller station wagons.

    Taller, worse station wagons since the extra height dramatically increases fuel consumption and rates of severe injury in crashes, while also making rolls more likely.

  I used to think wagons were weird, but then I became an adult and realized that wagons /shooting brakes are just perfectly optimized to my tastes.
