Today’s game is some more FBC Firebreak. We got all the jobs to clearance level 3 today and started messing with the corruption. Our favorite so far was a job where you have to clear out some Freeze Anomalies.

At Level 3 for the cold job it ends with this fun little manhunt where you have to hunt down mannequins and toss them onto a ski lift. we found two of the mannequins hiding in the Bathroom. We grabbed them and princess carried the mannequins all the way up in a frenzy rush to reach the Ski Lift (which was on rotation). I had the last one and just barely made the throw to get it on.

The entire map in level 3 has a blizzard the regularly storms the area and slows you and the enemies down. You have to take cover from the blizzard in structures around the area. Though, now that i think about it you might be able to carry a heater to negate the cold. The heaters are what was used to destroy the freeze anomalies, and the emit fire. So i imagine they help. The game has a lot of these mechanics that play really well with each other. It’s kind of cool. Like an example is the splash kit can place down a humidifier which sprays water. They also have an attack they can charge that replaces their water with fire. They can fill the humidifier with fire instead of water to light everything within radius on fire and help them cover another role.

We did another quest with the Sticky Ricky that appeared in the trailers. He’s this big creature made of Sticky Notes. His whole boss fight kind of feels like a Zelda Boss or a 3D Mario Boss. There’s 2 pipelines you have to manage, one for electricity and one for water. You have to keep both running and flip them on to shock Sticky Ricky to death. It’s a fun fight. We ended up with me manning the power station, one of the other players manning water, and the third one running inbetween stations too help out.

Finally, Our character designs were also kind of finalized by us (if you can call it that). I like the character designs for this because it’s kind of like Halo’s Spartans. You can kind of insert whoever you want into the role and make up whatever you want. Maybe it’s yourself, or maybe you just made up a whole new character for the role.
