This is disappointing, but I can't say I'm surprised.
For those not familiar, Jagex has been going downhill since about 2010 (basically when the founders sold the game to venture capital).
There's a new game by the founders, Brighter Shores. It improves a lot of things over RuneScape in principle, but it still needs a ton of work to make it more broadly appealing (effectively it's still just a bit beyond an -- extremely stable --tech demo; no bosses or minigames yet).
yea the neglect of the rs games, content drought was a telltale sign something was up. the mtx increase was just to stave things off.
So Jagex wants to avoid controversy…by creating a bigger controversy? Genius move from the new “CEO”. As always, the executive class is insane.
Whaaaaa? Shame on them especially since they had events going. Would have been easier to just not have any events if you were going to cancel in like ten days
Oh so we’re going back to our roots with this one, a riot in Falador it is then.
