I finished up the Thieves Guild questline today in Oblivion. The final mission took me like a whole extra hour because i left my bow at home, had to turn around and get it, and then got lost under the city trying to find the way back because the quest marker bugged. But i eventually made it! Not before getting sighted by the Chancellor who was getting ready for bed on my way out though.
I did the whole quest in the Dark Brotherhood outfit, but needed the boots of Spring Heel Jack on. The Dark Brotherhood armor covers all the armor slots, so i ended up having to run around half naked to steal the Elder Scroll. On the upside i think it helped my stealth. Not that it ended up mattering much, i came out of the sewers in a weapon shop and was arrested for trespassing. They searched me but didn’t take the Elder Scroll. I guess they assumed the Elder Scroll was just mine. Or it was a replica.
During the entire final mission i had Slaughterfish just spawning on land too. It was kind of funny at first, but i started to feel bad for them and ended up putting them down. I remember it being like this in the sections i played of the original too, so it’s nice to see it’s being faithful to it’s roots.
One thing that happened was I ended up being attacked by the King of Miscarcand while doing the quest. I thought it was funny because i did that quest line like a whole 10 hours ago (and like 30 days in game time). This happened straight after i got out of prison too. So this guy took a month to find me, tracked me to a castle prison, and was polite enough to wait for me to finish serving my prison sentence before attacking me. Shame he went down without much of a fight though.

I missed the 300th day! Congratulations on the milestone!
Heh, Oblivion sound still as fun as it was back then.
