Frankly, it was a warmer greeting than I normally get from my parents, and it was accompanied by a slap on my back. I found the whole thing quite disarming.

To be frank, Bill Maher has always been a pompous, self-involved, ass. Bill Burr pointed out his bullshit when he was a guest on one of his podcasts as well, if I remember correctly.
