Just ask college baseball what switching from wood to composite was like

Oh yeah, history is rife with attempts to change flooring on sports that didn’t pan out, like Carpet Court or Blue Clay in tennis. For basketball, I walked on a Nike Grind court (Well, not 100% if was Nike Grind per se, but they said it was made out of recycled shoes so…) that they have at their Beaverton campus and the cushioning felt fairly noticeable.

I was making a joke about something more like this but yeah I could see how messing with the floor surface would cause problems, I’m as far from a professional in either sport as you can get

“The focus now up to today has been getting a surface that is comfortable for the athletes to play on, and we’ve done that.”

how about you focus on asking people if we actually want to watch this bullshit.

As someone who always plays on shitty unmaintained rec center courts I’d give anything for some development of a good cheap court material other than wood.

    This ain’t it tho 😭😭
