      I’m a meme archaeologist and I can confirm that in this context, it means that the written action occured spontaneously, without anybody asking for it, expecting it, or wanting it. Typical used to describe things that are rather strange or baffling. Such as:

      Nobody:

      Cats at 3am: “I must run so fast right now”

      For this meme, it’s implying that nobody really expected, wanted, or antagonized ol’ musky to become an evil corpo-oligarchic space Karen, but he did anyway, for seemingly no reason.
