Unfortunately, due to various issues, health conditions, food allergies, not everyone can go vegan.
There’s also massive runoff from industrial chicken farms into rivers in certain regions.
Industrialised animal agricultural is barbaric and needs to end.

It’s the first I’ve ever heard that there are medical reasons to eat meat. People with allergies can cut out the food triggers. All animal farming needs to end. Your local Farmer Jones sprays his fields with animal shit which then gets into the local water just like big-farma.

Someone with multiple allergies and digestive diseases would fit this profile. No gluten, soy, legumes, peanuts and tree nuts.
What about autistic people? Some have very specific dietary needs due to sensory issues.

This is the best summary I could come up with:
CIWF has written to the UK, US and various European governments urging them to work with the World Organisation for Animal Health and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization to put these measures in place.
Unless we wake up and take urgent action to end factory farming, we will simply be unable to stop its rapid spread across the globe or reduce the risk of a serious human pandemic developing.
“Cramming animals together in factory farms in not only totally inhumane, it’s creating the perfect place for bird flu and other viruses to spread and mutate into more dangerous strains.”
“Improving the welfare of farm animals has multiple environmental and societal benefits, including helping better control diseases.
“We believe the long-term strategy to eradicate the virus needs to be a combination of vaccinations, higher welfare farming practices, which includes more robust breeds, and excellent biosecurity.”
Richard Griffiths, the chief executive of the British Poultry Council, hit back at the report.
The original article contains 630 words, the summary contains 160 words. Saved 75%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Stop eating chicken and/or eggs and the problem solves itself. Better yet: Go Vegan

Or at least reduce consumption.
Cutting down the amount of poultry you eat is a much easier task than removing it from your life altogether.
Tywele@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 year ago
That’s true but reduction shouldn’t be the end goal instead it should be a step in the direction to cutting it out completely.

And if you think that’s too crazy an idea, watch some videos about poultry farming to see the horror show that it is. UK calls itself a nation of animal lovers and then treats the mass of animals montrously.

did you try that?
