Of all the stupid things past governments did, privatising water is probably the worst of them. They’ve made little investment, not maintained anything, rivers are being pumped with sewage.
These parasites have leeched us dry for 35 years. Nationalise the lot. No compensation. Half of them are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy anyway.
Nice words that make it look like action, though only really useful if it’s matched with capping executive pay, sanctions for directors, and capped water rates. Without that, all they do is pass the cost to customers.
