This was the worst October ever here in Texas. The high was above 90 almost every day, and not a single drop of rain for the entire month, when it’s usually our fall rainy season.

It last rained October 1st here. We normally average 9 days with rain in October.

Last year a 100+ year old spring dried up on my property. The original owners probably back in the 1800s built one of those cooling buildings over it for storing food. Been here for 6 years now and first 4 years the spring was flowing great, last year it went lower than the stream bed, this year it’s basically gone. I can dig a few feet and it’ll be wet below in the gravel, but the water table is so low I doubt it’ll ever return.
