I think the solution is we force everyone to stay home for 6 months and then we give them $600 checks to make up for it.

But only 2x and in that time we pass legislation that raises taxes on the poorest over the next 5 years. After that they’re on their own.
Oh we’re also going to toss out the plan left by the previous administration for handling the virus causing everyone to stay at home and just pretend it’s going to go away.
“Force everyone to stay home” so you’re saying the Trump Administration + Republican-led congress at the time was responsible for COVID? Cause they’re the ones who gave out the stimulus checks…

THe workers are being exploited out of jobs and homes.
With its 20-hour minimum wage, California has stopped exploiting many workers in the fast food industry. Sure, they have no job but they are no longer being exploited.
