The original claim in 2020 was that the laptop contained emails that showed corrupt deals being made between (then vice president) Joe Biden and Ukrainian officials to protect his son’s business interests in a Ukrainian gas company.
This claim was put forward after Trump had been impeached for making corrupt deals with Ukrainian officials. Republicans wanted to impeach Joe Biden for the same thing. Unfortunately, the laptop doesn’t contain anything that could be seen as evidence of corruption.
It does have dick pics and drug stuff on it though, and it’s illegal to own guns and drugs at the same time. Since Hunter owns guns, he probably broke that law. A bit of a step down from Joe Biden being corrupt.

Yes the laptop does not contain communication between Hunter and Joe discussing corrupt deals. It does contain details of Hunter making corrupt deals that Hunter claims Joe was party to. Joe’s knowledge of those deals would need to be corroborated by some other source. It’s not just dick and drug pics on the laptop.
