Good. The US government should be shielding well paid, high quality, domestic manufacturing from cheap foreign products manufactured without regard to human rights, or environmental concerns.

What the government should do is make solar legal to install everywhere without hurdles. In Florida, you can’t get windstorm insurance if you have panels on the roof … Thanks for that FPL, you fuckers. And FPL also implemented a requirement for a million dollar policy if you get solar installed to your house and still maintain a connection to the power grid.
