I'd like to know how well the new pinephones work, because my goal is having a phone running a real open platform like gnu/linux (as opposed to android running linux).
Android is ok mostly if you can get one where you can load a rom based on the android open source project, but even there it can be questionable. I just want something that does what I tell it to. We're almost there.
