Also, I wonder who made Conan’s welding mask… for his ass. And how does he keep it on? You know, because if you didn’t have any protection back there, you’d get a welder’s tan… around your butt.

That’s a good observation. Admittedly, I thought that Hot Ones was funny and memorable but retrospectively, I do agree that he de-railed the whole interview format and that is ashame. Especially since Conan even said that Sean is a great interviewer

I loved it. Conan was interviewing him.
There were some great answers from both of them and he proved nobody can top his interview prowess

Asinine is Conan’s brand

To be fair, he wouldn’t be the first comedian to go on a talk show and go off the rails. That’s been happening on talk shows for decades. Andy Kaufman, Will Ferrell, etc.

Yeah, honestly, I didn’t enjoy the episode all that much. I mean, it was a funny bit, but the whole thing was a bit, and Conan was playing a character. What I enjoy the most about Hot Ones is that Sean is such a good interviewer that I feel I get more insight into the guest than I get with most shows. In this one, I felt like I got zero insight into Conan other than further evidence that he’ll do anything for a bit.
