I had an ex go vegan when I was with her she did honestly turn fully nuts in the fact she decided her cat was now vegan and began constantly trying to blackmail me into it.
Yeah that’s why it ended as well, my favourite food is a beef curry and I love a good burger.
Can I get her #?
I think pescatarians are crazy and secretly love helping the ocean life be obliterated. At least with beef, the destruction of entire ecosystems is mostly halted and the cowboys didn’t muster any dolphins and a frlew thousand random species into the abattoir.
Cows can live up to 20 years but the average age at slaughter for cows killed for their flesh is about 1.5 years.
I’m not defending it. But those cows are born to die.
This does not occur in the ocean and is why fish are rapidly dwindling in size and numbers, damaging massive ecosystems along the way.
You can’t overcow cows, you just make more. But we overfish fish all the time even with such low standards for what “overfishing” is.
Seafood is the hidden destroyer of much of the world’s living nature. But conveniently it is easy to ignore because you don’t see under the waterline, and it’s too difficult to regulate properly. Can’t just roll up to 100 boats like you can 100 farms.
If someone wants to hate on meat but say fish is okay, the least they can do is cut out all seafood unless farmed. While that’s ironically just bringing them up to a level no different to land meat, at least they wont be decimating all the bulk of life on earth they mockingly claim to hold so dear but forget is mostly in the ocean.
