    They probably did a cheap rush job. 90 F is no temperature for a runway to melt. It sounds idiotic

      You're not wrong. The idea that an aircraft tarmac would start to melt under what are basically the conditions of a hot summer day suggest a major failure somewhere. Hot summer days happen, even in England.
