I agree with Ron Paul's view of things. Why is the government regulating marriage? If government just got its mitts out of there then it being legal or illegal would be irrelevant.
If the government stops carrying so much about what was going on in your home and in your bedroom, then it would all roll down to people behaving however their particular Church behaved. If you were part of a religion that was very strict on marriage, then you can't get married. Is it part of the church that is very lax on marriage, then you can.

Yeah, go after baby murderers, and now go after gay marriage under the same rationale. It is not constitutional. Unless there is an amendment saying it is, that should be a state's rights issue.
