  socially: women's education seems to correlate with smaller families

  socially: people's way of life sometimes is based on planning for small families (what is spent on and how much is saved and so on)

    The people not having kids are so stupid. Their short term thinking of selfish, irresponsible happiness will cost them when they are 60 and no one is around to give a shit about them

    Rotting in a senior home with no one to love them

      I guess they're hoping for friends or kind younger people that they can pay to take care of them

      I also think its important to mention that children bring happiness in the immediate. They bring joy here and now. And not just joy but a sense of purpose and a greater understanding of the human experience. If it were the case that your life was more fulfilling without children all the way up to the nursing home a good argument could be made it was worth it not reproducing.

      I don't think that is true though.

      I don't believe you can fully mature as a human until you've had children. Not mentally anyway.
