And not just joy but a sense of purpose and a greater understanding of the human experience. If it were the case that your life was more fulfilling without children all the way up to the nursing home a good argument could be made it was worth it not reproducing.
I don't think that is true though.
I don't believe you can fully mature as a human until you've had children. Not mentally anyway.

Yeah they change the way you express anger. For one because they get you so mad all the time and you must adapt to deal with it. At least toddler boys do that.
