Maya is an antifascist who is accused of brutally assaulting Nazis in Hungary. In July she got sent to the Hungarian police, even tho that earlier that day the highest court in Germany said that this can’t happen due to the fact that she as a non binary person can’t expect a fair trial in Hungary.

Oh, it’s those attacks.
On the one hand, those really were brutal attacks. It actually helped the far right and eurosceptics in Hungary a lot, because they now feel vindicated in their beliefs as foreigners from the EU came to Hungary to brutally attack people on the streets in an organized group, and various member states shielded them from the law.
Ilaria Salis, who was indicted as the leader, was saved from the trial by Italy making her an MEP. Imagine that happening in your country. It’s hardly defensible, are we saying that Hungarian courts are not capable of ruling over violent attacks in Hungary now?
On the other hand, I don’t know enough about the case to have an opinion on the extradition and Maya specifically, though. A Budapest court is usually not discriminative though, they are shitty towards everyone equally. And the Hungarian government should really ban Breakout Day, it’s technically against the law, but Orbán thrives on chaos.
