  Also the GoG version of classic HoMM3 is perfecty playable and has the complete edition with extensions.

  Prefer this to the HD edition on Steam though, that one only contains base game and can’t be modded.

    Not OP but you should check out VCMI project. It’s finally got 1.x after some decade+ of work. Fixed castle limit issues of the originally to free up modding potential and they’re making improvements to enemy AI.

    Also works on Android.

      a) That’s not a remake, it’s a separate game b) Please don’t buy it, made by russian devs that have been funded by oligarchs with ties to the russian government
