janus2@lemmy.zip 6 days agosoy, in my experience, because soy lecithin is a great emulsifier and most vegan cheesen’t sauce usually needs a bit of help in the emulsification department
it’s also the highest protein non dairy milk

they’re starting to sell the Kraft NotCo brand over here. I got a free sample of it and made it with soy milk and enjoyed it
I’m not all that into mac and cheese but it’s nice to have more easy comfort food options that don’t wreck my digestive system (even with Lactaid pills)

Oh I don’t think we have any Kraft here officially. I have to buy imported on Amazon I think it has some ingredients they can’t sell here

i still occasionally buy a box of mac and “cheese” for comfort/convenience but now I get the hippie brands that omit crap like palm oil
