Small nitpick: the Democrats impeached him twice. They don't get to choose who the DOJ prosecutes.

I agree but just want to mention the DOJ did try to prosecute, it was Trump’s judge that delayed the case. The DOJ was moving forward on the case the whole time while managing all the cases for the other insurrectionists and investigating the thousands of people involved.
