Comment on Discussion - what is the last movie you couldn't finish?
spankmonkey@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoI read the book back in the 90s and didn’t try to watch the movie until a couple years ago because I just didn’t believe it could live up to the book despite the critical acclaim that the movie has.
Holy hell it was right on track up to the point I stopped.

If memory serves, in the movie she only breaks his ankles with a sledgehammer instead of cutting off his foot (feet?).

I would call that a minor difference that was necessary for the adaptation at that time. Same end result of being unable to walk.
