There are only two actions that require a TV license:
- Using BBC iPlayer for any reason
- Watching live broadcast TV from any source
YouTube does not have a broadcasting licence (granted by Ofcom) so YouTube live streams do not count as broadcast TV.
At least I’m pretty sure that’s how that works

I didn’t even get that far. I failed to read teletext from 20 metres away.
