They would be exposing the hypocrites. They already look look like fucking morons for losing to trump, again, do not much to salvage there. Tell me any American could not miss the message when democrats stop the confirmation, roll out their own fake electors, and confirm kamala herself. Hell, have biden make it an official act because why not? Any person to object to it could not be totally lost on them this is exactly what Trump attempted to do.

Exposing hypocrites never brings any real gain, only an opportunity to get upset.

Now please don’t get me wrong: getting upset might be worth it for many, many people. Getting upset is one of the highest valued things in our time.

The world doesn’t work like this.

Who would get fired up who wasn’t already on side? Independents or those on the fence would just note that the Democrats were pulling the same nonsense they just spent four years crying fascism about. Right wingers would just see confirmation that the rules don’t matter. On the Left, the adults among us would see this as a stupid, hypocritical temper tantrum with no possibility of success and a further erosion of democratic norms.

This would be super unhelpful.

  I disagree entirely. I would see the GOP get a taste of their own medicine and the DNC not be pussy bitches too afraid to serve it. Like it or not, your measured, “adult in the room” shit isn’t working and most people just feel condescending too. It’s of little consequence because what you have yet to accept is the door is shut already and this sissy fit would be honestly the last opportunity for the left to do something.

    Yeah, and expect to see that forever. Were moved ng more to the right. We are literally getting worse and, at best, the democrats are too afraid to do anything about it. At worst theyre actively holding us back from progress and are no better than republicans.
    
    I do not care about how “a large swathe of the country” feels. I’m no longer delusing myself into thinking we can please everyone.
    
    The important thing is to make the world better, and that simply will not happen within the framework we have been given. Violence against republicans and the leaders of the democrat party are literally the only way forward.
    
    Like im not even interested in continuing this debate. If you want to take a look at the last decade of democrat ineffectiveness and decide to continue that trend, then arguing with you is pointless.
